Reviews on my performance of Rachmaninov’s Rhapsody at La Roque d’Anthéron 2023

“Nathanaël Gouin performs the Rhapsody on a theme by Paganini with the poise of a great pianist. Under his fingers, the work is both thorough and noble, and the articulation is as clear as it is vigorous.”

“If one immediately sensed the investment, the preparatory work and the involvement, it was without curbing either the fluidity of the interpretation or the inspiration of the performer. Perfect control of the instrument and the score in the service of a poetic approach…”.

“Transcendent, virtuoso, ethereal, poetic, supple, prodigal, in a word imperial and confoundingly elegant and natural, Nathanaël Gouin gives a dazzling reading of the work.”

New album “Caprice”, to be released on October 2023

Nathanaël Gouin’s new album “Caprice” will be officially released on the Mirare label on October 13, 2023. This third opus brings together pieces from Bach to Ohana, inspired by great musical freedom and virtuosity, as in Rachmaninov’s Rhapsody on a theme by Paganini, which Nathanaël recorded with the Sinfonia Varsovia conducted by Aleksandar Markovic.
The album also includes the world premiere recording of Reynaldo Hahn’s Mignouminek.

New Video Clip Online !
