Bizet-Gouin – Venise (Paraphrase for Piano)
This famous barcarolle for tenor originated as a piece for solo piano, with its theme presented in its simplest form, composed by a Georges Bizet who was barely 20 years old. It was called Venise, a romance without words. It is in the spirit of Liszt that I wished to paraphrase this barcarolle, whose pure theme continues to resonate with all ears.
